A small stand of hardy Sheoak (Allocasuarina verticillata) making the most of the sunrise in the gulches - Binalong Bay, Bay of Fires, Tasmania.
This with a new piece of glass in the bag. Got it for astro but may find a home in the landscape. Needs care however - it's pretty prone to flare and ghosts.

A last hurrah for "The Tree" in the gulch at Binalong Bay, Bay of Fires, larapuna, Tasmania.
The tree - a She Oak or Casurina (Allocasuarina verticillata) is on it's last legs and it won't be long before it's gone. It's full of grubs, rot and it's roots are all exposed. There is now only the single clump of growth at the top and it will be such a pity when it dies.
As it was such an excellent pre-solistice sunrise and I had the place to myself, it was too hard to resist shooting the tree again. Having written all that - it will probably hang on and see me out.

This is Taylors Beach just north of Binalong Bay with The Gardens just visible in the murk at the other end of the bay.

This sunrise really did deliver the goods. I wasn't going to post this one but the colours got the better of me.
