Have driven past what I think is a Cedar of some description for most of my adult life without ever getting a snap. Either the clouds have been absent or not so much or the light's wrong or the lens won't fit it all in.
On this occasion, the clouds were perfect and the XPAN proved to be the weapon of choice.

A pretty battered specimen of Eucalyptus ovata near Cressy, 'Norfolk Plains', Tasmania. E. ovata is also known as Black Gum or even Swamp Gum depending where you are in the country.
This part of Tasmania is home to some very large sheep grazing properties and where there's water, large scale crop production. I think from memory the soil here in parts is glacial loess - deposited here by wind at the end of the Pleistocene age.
