Having spent five of the last seven days in Malta . . . unusually for me, dodging the bad weather at home, I thought it might be worth sharing a few images from the trip.
Now of course we all know that today's Malta isn't the transport gold mine it once was, it being like most other places now, almost totally Eurobland.
Amidst that blandness there are a few things still worthy of note, like these King Long imports which I believe have been shipped in by the service contractor from their operation in Cyprus. Malta Public Transport seems to have persevered with King Long products unlike here in the UK where Yutong seem to have grabbed the market share and more besides, which the former once enjoyed.
I have to confess that I quite like the appearence of these, save for the 1960s style 'Made in Hong Kong' friction drive toy wheel trims. The awful livery is also applied in slightly better form too, though they haven't yet had the chance to gain the knocked about unkempt look yet of the rest of the fleet.
