Flew from across the lake, a distance of about 200 yards. I was watching GB Herons far across the lake when the motion caught my eye. Turned and fired away a few shots with a 500mm lens. I've taken 1000's of pictures but no idea what this is. Thinking juvenile and the head sure looks like a turkey poult.

First Wild Turkey capture in 4 years of birding. Set up along corn field to shoot Red-wing Blackbirds, looked back down grass road, and saw Hen approaching. Began to take pictures of Adult and suddenly 2 Poults walked out of cornfield. They walked steadily toward me feeding along the way. They were probably within 100 feet before they saw/heard me and disappeared into the rows of corn.
