The only gulls on the beach were Ring-billed late this morning and early this afternoon. This was a solitary gull flying high and out over the lake toward the dam. Yellow bill, red spot, white wing spot.
Before I posted this image and was viewing gull images in Sibley I thought it might be a Lesser Black-backed Gull. This would be extremely RARE for our area so I dismissed the thought.
