台大動物醫院剛啟用時為地上六層樓 (本相片)，現在是九層樓。

2008.5.19.路統信老師回憶：日治時期至台大早期，這處基地是一排收容精神病患的平房建築。路老師在台灣光復後不久到台大念書，有天在好奇心驅使下，走到雜草叢生的該處，突然被一位女患者隔著鐵窗狂叫，著實嚇了一大跳。
