In partnership with the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Transportation the pedestrian tunnel at the 191st Street Subway Station has been painted by a group of 15 yourths working with artists Belle Benfield and Chris Beck. The imagery of the mural is inspired by local poets in Washington Heights/Inwood. This project is a partnership between the City of New York & YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood.

The entrance tunnel for the 1 train at 191st Street specifically bans riding bicycles, while walking through I saw at least 5 fly by.
