Dr. Clark W Dunlop made his money from patent medicines such as "Dr. Dunlop's Quick Relief" “Dr. Dunlop’s King of Pain,” and "Dr. Dunlop's Bromo Nervolene". He erected this confection of a mausoleum in 1894, died in 1908, was joined by his pet parrot in 1921 (there's a small glass coffin inside the mausoleum containing the parrot's skeleton) and finally by his wife Eliza in 1932.
