The pub on the left (where the man is leaning) is the Sign of the Angel, a beautiful stone building of 1480. Unfortunately, I didn't know at the time when I was just taking a general view of the street, and didn't get the pub sign (I didn't even know that the pub was in the shot). I cropped the original to see the pub a little better. In the Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince this is where Dumbledore and Harry walked in the dark, and in the film the pub is named The Babberton Arms.

A charming old cottage at the junction of the Hight Street and West Street in the village of Lacock, Wiltshire. The village is said to date mainly from the early 14th century but actually you can see seven centuries of buildings within a ten minute walk, the earliest being mid 13th century right up to the Red Lion extension, built in 1926.
