This is Daruma today on the Kitano Highway. A gent by the name of John M. actually made it a day's excursion and tracked down Daruma for me. My Uncle Paul Sakuma (who was honored by the Congressional Gold Medal) was a fellow soldier assigned to the 8th US Army's 720th Military Police Battalion along with John M. during the early days of the Occupation of Japan!
