These belonged to my great-grandfather, Wakio Shibayama. He was reportedly an art professor. This is painted by brush on extremely thin and fragile rice paper. I have hundreds of these and I believe these are compilations of artwork from his students. They are painted on both sides of the paper, likely due to the extreme paper shortage of that time. The booklets are stamped with my great-grandfather's "hanko", or name stamp.
