You don't need Photoshop--you just need to be there at the right time and find the right perspective... and hope that right point isn't in the middle of the street. In this case, I was about 5 feet from the side of the road.

Some have asked whether the police or guards bothered me when taking these photos. The answer is no, almost. Honestly, I hardly saw anyone while I was out there, tourist or guard. It was really weird to be walking through the National Mall and be alone. The one exception was that the guards would not let me use a tripod at the Lincoln Memorial (hence not shots from there posted)--I have no idea why.

Straight from the camera, Diana+ medium format camera and Fujifilm Pro 160 NPL 120 film.

World War 2 Memorial, Washington DC.

Shot with Diana+ medium format camera and Fujifilm Pro 160 NPL 120 film. The 160 NPL is good for night shots, as you can see, and tends to give faithful color reproduction (even through Diana!), as opposed to the Fujifilm Velvia which is more saturated and dreamy/screamy. (Explore)
