Today's offering: 5 subjects, 5 decades, 5 film emulsions. I've always liked the spontaneous or candid "slice of life" view of people, rather than formal portraits. So, without a studio setup, I have had to make do with whatever film was in my camera at the time (a problem that has largely been eliminated with the rise of digital).
The second shot in this set is from the Seventies, on Agfachrome, ISO 50. Its tones were excessively warm, with a coarse and very evident grain pattern - we used to laughingly call it the Tri-X of slide film. For gritty-looking documentary style work, it could produce interesting results. All my Agfachromes have faded badly over the years, and most have shifted to magenta, so salvaging them is an ongoing challenge, with time running out.
I had to do major colour correction after making this scan; desaturating helped a little. Compositionally, I've always wished the background were a little cleaner, but I love the moment, so I have resisted altering the image. Camera: Pentax Spotmatic, with 105 mm f/2.8 lens.
