My first photo of 2021 shows a strange new bus for the Big Lemon at the depot on 4th January 2021. BIG 939 is a Higer electric, a model I have not come across on these shores before and is not expected to enter service for some time.

In October, 1989, twenty Bayline liveried Ford Transits made a lengthy train journey from Exeter to Perth where Stagecoach would use them as competitive tools. They went in two batches. On 2nd October, 657 (C657 FFJ) leads the pack. These were the days before Health & Safety and I stood on the track to take this shot - nor was I wearing Hi Viz.

An early start this morning, 14th May 2021, and a trip up to Ensignbus to collect one of a pair of Volvo B7L Ayats open-toppers purchased by Seven Sisters Bus and Coach. A quick photo of EU05 DVX - ex Original London VLY610 - the first of the pair to make it back.

It will be good when we are able to welcome back incoming tourists again. For a number of years, a regular contract with Americans saw me staying at the Castle Hotel in Conway for two nights around five times each season. The arrival was usually accompanied by a round of applause from our guests and on this occasion in June, 2017, one leapt out to take this photo of me manouveuring Mortons Van Hool TX16 Y17 BUS (ex YJ13 GWN) through the walls..
