For our upcoming show at the Geneva Library - our fourth year there - the club was asked if we could do a model of the library itself. I volunteered.
This is pretty much my first 'conventional' building, ever. Here's a shot of the actual building.

NILTC did a show at the Geneva history center, and one thing we did for them was that each of us made a historic building from Geneva. I picked this old dutch windmill. I stopped by the real windmill on the way home to shoot this photo.
For the show, I put it in the middle of my layout and gave it some juice: youtube.com/watch?v=Gp11XE4Y42E

This is my third Geneva building I've done now. This is a home of some possible historical significance in that town - not sure what it is, it's probably just old.
This was done barely in time for my club's show this weekend at the Geneva Historical Society.
2 hours spent on Tuesday night planning, 5 hours Wednesday night building. Man... buildings are freakin' EASY!

Here are the three buildings I've built for my last three shows in Geneva, Illinois. The buildings are:
The August House - a design by Frank Lloyd Wright.
The Fabyan Windmill - an old Dutch windmill that still works.
The Geneva Public Library which just celebrated its 100th year. I am delivering this model to the Library tonight (5-1-08) where it will be permanently located.
