I haven't posted anything in a while, and I don't have anything new (that I want to show yet ;) ) so here's what I brought this weekend.

Or whatever it is. Repair bay? Scaffolding? It's in the hangar so I built it. :)

With the ice hanger such a busy place, it's not easy to put in a full sized hockey rink - but a curling lane fits much easier! The home team is taking their turn, while the visitors patiently wait, holding their own 'special' brooms.
I created this small display for my club's train show this weekend. This is a one-time only display, because by the next show (3 weeks from now) everyone will have forgotten what the heck curling is. ;)

Kinda hard to see what's going on here, but I put some blacklights from Lifelights in the back of my Falcon. The light placement isn't perfect yet, and it was difficult to get a good picture, but in person I think it really works.
The 'engine' of the falcon is composed of a wall of alternating 1x1 round plates: glow-in-the-dark and trans-medium-blue. Both of these colors really react well to blacklight, giving it a great glow.
Also, the window up top is from my Hoth Base, where you can see Leia, R2, and C3PO monitoring Luke in the bacta tank.

Along one of the corridors of the Echo Base layout you will find this little scene. I had it displayed for the first day of the show as you see it in the top. Because the corridor is covered (see previous images), no direct light gets in, making it difficult to see.
So tonight after the show I came home and made a 'few' modifications. Above there are four 1x2 bricks with a light, and in the center is a blue 2x4 brick with a red light - for the bacta tank. ;) The battery pack is hidden just off to the left.
