This was... a lot. I don't think I'll ever bring quite so much again, but it was certainly fun. Got to air out a lot of old mocs that hadn't seen the light of day in years.
Next year I promise I'll actually build some new stuff. ;)
(My creations go from the tan structure on the upper/middle left to the figures in the lower right. The rest is from other club members in NILTC)

Ok, ok - more like, 'Retired'. This past weekend was it, the end of this display's two year run.
All of my large displays (so far) last two years before they've been retired. They're all (mostly) still around, just boxed up and stashed in a corner. Two years is plenty of time for my displays - they get shown all over the Chicago area, and I've always got plans for new layouts.
This particular display has been around in some incarnation for quite a long time, though. I first made the Planet Express over four years ago, and then over two years ago I made a small scene around the building to fill some space for a show. In June 2010, I fleshed out the whole city (and then added the Hospital in 2011).
It's possible that some of the buildings seen here might make it into the Brickworld 2012 City of the Future display, although that's mostly going to depend on some people's definition of 'futuristic building'.
And who knows, perhaps some day it will come 'out' of retirement...
