My newest layout comes from Toy Story 2 - Andy has moved in to a new house which remarkably has an almost identical looking room as his last.
This took me roughly five weeks to create, start to finish. The full layout is 30"x30", and roughly 20" high. The 'scale' I did this in would put the room at roughly 16 feet square.
A few changes have been made to the actual room in the movie. Since this is meant to be seen at shows, one wall needed to be taken out. The missing wall contains the main door to Andy's room - the door on the side is just a closet. Because of this, the dresser and shelves had to be relocated. Fortunately there was plenty of open space - those corners were mostly empty in the movie.
For those of you in the Chicago area who would like to see this in person, this will be going on display for the first time at the Northern Illinois Lego Train Club's Christmas Show in Wheaton, Illinois, Dec. 11th and 12th. I will also be bringing this to Brickworld 2011 as well as numerous smaller local shows all year round.
UPDATE, FEB 2011: I've finally made a video fly-by of this creation. You can see it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3TlF2mhB-4

I spent a lot of time working on the side of this desk. Both this desk and the dresser in Andy's room have a fairly 'cartoonish' look in that the sides don't straight up and down like normal, respectable furniture. So I worked hard to get that slight slant you see here... and no one will ever see it at a show! Due to the positioning of the layout, that side will be facing away from everyone.
Ah well. :)

Lots of little do-dads here. Most were pretty easy builds, but the gumball machine took a little while.
Andy actually has a set of joke false teeth on his wall shelves. I figured the new head from the Atlantis shark thingy would work well. :)
