Here is my first new 'train' in three years. A while ago (over two years ago) I built the head of the worm, fully intending to turn it into a train. I couldn't get it right, then, so I cut it off at the jaw and mounted it.
A few weeks before Brickworld 09, I finally made myself work at it - here is the result.
Hit 'All sizes' and check out the eye stalks. I'm quite proud of those. ;)

The worm does very well on the track, but since the tail section is very light it does have a tendency to derail (just the end section, not the whole train). However, it will get righted as soon as it hits a power connection.
Except for the motor, each train car - or should I say segment - has only one pair of wheels. This is because I used these hinges instead of normal train couplings. Using these style of hinges forces the train joints to swivel only, instead of also swerving a bit from side to side. This also gives the nice side effect of having the worm make a slight 'S' when it goes into a curve.
