This is my third and final version of the famous Star Wars ship, completed in June of 2007.

I never took great shots of this, so this summer I finally rectified that back when I took shots of the RAM.

My first version was done in late 2004 and was one of the very first MOCs I had done as an adult builder.
The second version was completed in mid-2005 and was the first 'complete' version. Taking the lessons I had learned from the first, it was very sturdy but had no interior.

Two years later I built this this version in time for the first Brickworld. The shape is far more accurate and I was able to add in a lot more detail. There is also a partial interior.

The most challenging thing about this whole project was getting the heavy construction (~25 pounds, I think) to rest comfortably on just 7 legs OR just the center. When transporting this, I have to carefully reach under and lift it by where the bottom gun turret should be. It's sturdy enough that I can carry it with one hand. Carefully.

Over the years I've had to replace a few of the axles that carry the weight in the legs - there's been quite a bit of warping!

I built this primarily in the new (at the time) Light Bluish Grey color. When I was done with the main build of the ship, I went through and replaced a lot of the pieces with old Light Grey, Dark Bluish Grey, old Dark Grey, and Dark Red.
