Two half suits can be attached to the back, the astronauts then enter the suit from the inside of the vehicle and then detach with minimal loss of atmosphere inside.

I built the SEV model for a NASA-themed window on display this month at the Woodfield Mall Lego Store. The main part of the window is the Friendship 7 by Brian Williams. Due to store restrictions on unfair awesomeness, Brian had to scale back his creation a little to be displayed.

The SEV is NASA's current working vehicle for planetary exploration. Unfortunately, it has (obviously) never been in use anywhere but Earth.

There's a few obvious differences between my version and the real thing. Most notably is the cockpit window. After a few attempts, I decided to go for an accurate enough shape as opposed to the correct window placement.
