BDZ PP 80 038 with fast train Sofia - Varna, passing through Thompson stop, on its way to Svoge. This is the first Siemens Smartron loco, delivered to BDZ in December 2020.

Connecting Europe Express arrived in Sofia from Greece late in the night at 15th September 2021 and departed to Bucharest via Rousse at the next day. The loco serving it was
BDZ PP's brand new Siemens Smartron 91 52 1080 044-6 "Tsar Kaloyan", a few minutes before departing to Rousse, from Sofia Central Station.
