Right next to the ruined church lies the abandoned Annesley Hall, a Grade II listed building. It was the home of Mary Annn Chaworth, Byron's sweetheart.

Sometimes, it’s worth turning a blind eye to certain signs – it’s so sad to see something as old and beautiful as this left to rot. A few more pictures of the hall before the rain got the better of us – definitely worth a revisit.
