One from the archives. When I took this picture at St Nicholas' church on Maid Marian Way, I had no idea who Abel Collin was - a bit of research on the internet revealed that, although he died over 300 years ago, he has a website! When he died in 1705, Abel Collin was already a well known benefactor and I find it amazing that his charity has continued to the present day – it's the oldest in Nottingham.
