During my 3 day stay at Elbe sandstone mountains, I was out every morning for sunrise, and the mood was different every day. This one is my favourite of the series, the classical view of Bastei stone bridge at sunrise.

The Elbe sandstone mountains are a hotspot for photographers because of the spectacular scenery and the atmospheric morning fog rising from the river Elbe. At sunrise in autumn, there are great numbers of photographers at every viewpoint around Bastei facing East. This photographer went to great lenghts to have a place all to himself - I have no idea how he got up there with his tripod and camera .
