Finally got hold of one of the rarest projection lens, Carl Zeiss Jena Kipronar 70mm f1.4 that I had been tracking for more than year (rarely comes up for sale). When mounted, noticed it was all glowing and hazy, something that doesn't match the expected character of this lens. Disappointed and thought some glass was missing and before deciding to return the item, did a quick try to invert the rear group and voila it fixed it!
Beauty of this lens is its swirly bokeh and although a 16mm lens, it almost works on full frame with the exception of some vignette. The same smooth soft bokeh of Kipronar 119mm f1.9 is still there. Also, typical petzval bokeh (sharp in the middle but blurry around)
