By 1985 the pressures of family life and the “instruction” from my wife to move to colour print film instead of 35mm transparencies had curtailed my railway photography. However I did take the occasional colour print railway shot whilst out and about at work and here is Nuneaton Abbey Junction circa 1990 which I was visiting in connection with it abolition. Unfortunately I have no records of the date when I took this photograph. The box is a Midland Railway type 4d but was actually built by the London Midland and Scottish Railway and opened on the 1st November 1925 replacing an earlier box. It closed when the avoiding line to Nuneaton Midland Junction closed in 1992.
