It is the day prior to the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer and Paisley District Tramways tram No. 68 is suitably “decked out” at the Crich Tramway Museum, 28th July 1981.
68 was built for the Paisley District Tramways in 1919 by Hurst Nelson, Motherwell and became Glasgow Corporation tram 1068 when Glasgow took over the Paisley system. It survived in service until 1954 and arrived at Crich in 1960.
