Visiting some of the wife’s relatives in Shildon with three of my grandchildren in tow enabled the four of us to visit Locomotion whilst the wife gossiped with her relatives. Nice surprise when we got there, the most famous locomotive in the world was also visiting, Flying Scotsman, 27th July 2019. “Top and tailing” with Flying Scotsman on the brake van train on the short demonstration line was resident 08 pilot 08911.
