My “summer holiday” in 1978 was a First Class Eastern Region Railrover and I had stocked up with 35mm transparency film for the week ahead. Or so I thought because when it came to processing the week’s photography I realised that one roll of film was in fact a colour print film!!! Class 302 four car unit 202 is the lead unit of 2B66 approaching Stratford on the 30th May 1978.

Unit History
One hundred and twelve Class 302 four car units were built at York Works between 1958 and 1960 for London Tilbury and Southend and Great Eastern services. They were refurbished in 1982/83 and the last units were withdrawn in 1999.
