Locomotive History
D3690 it was a product of Darlington Works, entering traffic in March 1959 allocated to Hornsey MPD. It would spend the next sixteen years allocated to the London area of the East Coast Main Line moving to Hatfield in 1960, Hitchin in 1961 and Finsbury Park in 1971. It was fitted with train air brakes in 1971 retaining its vacuum brakes. In October 1976 it transferred to Stratford where it was regularly used as Liverpool Street station pilot. In September 1980 it transferred to March and for the next fourteen years could be found in the Peterborough, March, Cambridge area with a three year spell allocated to Cambridge from November 1983. In March 1994 it transferred to Toton although it was out-stationed at Peterborough from 2001 before transfer to Bescot in 2004 where it was stored in July 2005. The stored 08528 was made available for sale in April 2010 and was purchased privately by two volunteers of the Battlefield Line. It was moved to Shackerstone in July 2010 and three days after arrival it was started up for the first time since being stored. It moved to the Great Central Railway in July 2014.

111C is a 4 wheeled diesel hydraulic locomotive built by Thomas Hill in 1961 using the frames and wheels of a Sentinal steam locomotive for the Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Co., Darlington. It arrived on the Foxfield Railway in 2002.
