Nottingham Community Transport (CT4N) electric bus 979 (LJ16 NMO) stand in the CT4N compound at the Queens Drive Park and Ride site, Nottingham, 21st November 2019. In September 2019 Nottingham City Council discontinued the dedicated bus services serving the Queens Drive and Racecourse Park and Ride sites and replaced them with additional stops on passing Nottingham City Transport routes. This had a major impact on the thirteen Chinese built BYD K9UR B35F fully electric integral buses operated by CT4N which entered service in August 2016 dedicated to the Park and Ride services. Initially the majority of the thirteen vehicles were stored at the CT4N compound at the Nottingham Queens Drive Park and Ride site. However, they are slowly being returned to use helped by the failure of local operator Yourbus where CT4N have taken over some routes. LJ16 NMO is one of those back in service having lost its Park and Ride branding and also in need of a good wash to remove its accumulated road grime.
