Dear all,
Thank you for all of the hard work put in at the Ampthill Verge Roadside Nature Reserve. Driving past on my way in it is astonishing how much we managed to clear. These sandy patches we’ve opened up will now further increase the entomological value of the site and with our continued efforts I’m sure we can finish the entire bank in tasks to come.
Special thanks to Sheila for the Stollen and to John & Audrey for bringing the Tea Wagon out for us!
Next week’s task will be at Centenary Wood continuing our work from November coppicing the remaining Poplars. Please meet in the Car Park off Sand Lane at 10:00. It’s worthwhile noting that the Car Park is a bit cosy so if anyone is willing to car share it may be a good idea!
