CSXT 308 leads Q368 past the old P&LE building along the south bank of the Monongahela River. This unique 'triple track' arrangement lasted for a brief time while CSX was undercutting bridges for their National Gateway project to allow double stack containers between Chicago and Chambersburg.

After striking out earlier in the day my effort paid off when these EMD SD70ACe demo units rolled by the Pittsburgh skyline in sweet evening light. My day started off with an email from the late Rich Borkowski indicating the N71 started loading at 4:50 AM. I was out the door not long after to be in position for the money shot at Time but they ran into some issues along the branch including the NS geometry train. The sun angle soured before they departed Bailey Mine but I think this one made up for it.
EMDX 1203 was later sold to the Arkansas & Missouri as AM 72 and infamously derailed not long after near Schaberg, Arkansas.
