This is looking west, just after sunset.

For a description about this image, see the previous photo.

I just noticed my camera clock was an hour behind...

Went outside, sat on the edge of the sidewalk and took this while getting my oil changed....

I actually LIKE the new Flickr app for Android. The old one was a joke. It was good enough for some quick browsing, I guess, and perhaps a comment or fave here and there... But with the new app, I actually find myself enjoying the many photos on Flickr. Which makes me wonder, why did this update take sooooooo long. I wonder how many people already gave up Flickr because the wait was just too long....

Anyway, the next features I'd like to see are on the app and desktop are being able to participate in group threads and actually being able to keep updated on the threads on which I comment.

Hope your weekend is pleasant.

This is about a second after she came up out of the water. There remained a thin layer of water covering her face.

You can see the water effect better if you view the large size by clicking on the image! ;)

If you stop by here, please add a note to one of the color lights above. I want to get all the lights noted! :) Only one note per person please. THANKS!

I'm really loving my break from school. Being pretty lazy, yeah. This was one of my free days. Spending time with my niece and she was blowing bubbles... so, yeah.

You know when you are so busy and barely have time to eat or sleep, and you tell yourself, "Man, when I get a break, I'm gonna do so much photography [or whatevever]," but then when break comes, you get really lazy and do nothing. Well, I think I already hit that point. But I did go for a run with my sister-in-law, did some house cleaning (all the stuff that piled up during the last 2 weeks of this semester), and a few other things, but now I think I need to start being a little more proactive. <-- what is this some kinda confession?

Anyway, I was thinking... you wanna hear something kinda cheezy?... I'll take that as a "yes." Read below...

Nowadays, where I live, I would say only a very small percentage of my friends are interested in photography anywhere near as much as I am. Most of my continued inspiration comes from my fellow photography addicts here at Flickr. So in a way this photo, to me, represents all the fun and support I get here. I get to float about, inflated with inspiration from all of you, my colorful photographer friends.

There's a colorful light for each of you. Please take one for yourself. ;)

And thanks again for all your support on the last photo. Hope your weekend starts off positive.

[Explored, April 7, 2013, #35]

...but no one cared. At least I'm still alive. .

Some of my friends get asked strange questions by me sometimes. For example, while walking down stairs together: "If I totally wiped out down these stairs and then started crying, would you laugh at me?"

Have you ever just totally wiped out in public? Ha ha. No, I'm not talking about tripping or loosing your step, I'm talking about totally losing it all where a bunch of people witnessed the embarassing act. :D I can say that while on my two feet, I've never totally wiped out-- somehow, I was able to catch myself or make it look cool in the follow through. However, I did totally wipe out on a bike in front of a lot of people. A long time ago, a friend and I had an opportunity to ride some mountain bikes at this camping area. The only "problem" was that the bikes were super light-- lighter than I was used to. He and I were riding very slowly on bumpy ground and I was standing up as I was leaning forward (can you see where this is heading?). And just as we were passing this big crowd of people, my front tire hit this TEENY TINY bump in the grass. The bike was yanked from under me in a split second and before I knew it, I was on the ground, BUT I did kinda catch myself on my hands! Ha ha. For about 5 seconds, everyone was turned around staring at me, and I was like "Uh, that was fun." My friend made some wise crack that didn't help the situation and we were off. Well, probably, not the craziest wipe out you've ever heard of, but that was probably the worst and most embarassing one for me....

Can you top that? Come on, give us a giggle. Let's hear it! :D :D.

I've had this idea in my head for awhile, but trying to find the time to get it done was difficult. Getting the right "pose" of course took some time and repetition. The idea here is translated a little differently than how I pictured it in my mind, but you have to work with what you have. And besides, there's only so many times you can fling yourself down your friend's stairway before something is bound to break. ;) .

Strobist info:
Flash A (1/2 CTO gel): Through white umbrella, 24mm zoom, manual 1/8 power, ~4 ft in front of and ~2 feet above subject..
Flash B (Full CTO gel): Bounced off stairway ceiling, 50mm zoom, manual 1/2 power, ~5 ft behind and 6 ft above subject..

Both remote flashes triggered via Nikon CLS..

I do always appreciate your feedback/comments/constructive criticisms. :).

Oh, and the shoe is for Edsel Evasco. ;).

Looking forward to visiting each of your streams.
