this barn is on a street that we drive down but it is difficult to walk on as it has very narrow shoulders. As we would zoom past I would see the chickens and a very ancient lady tending to them. One day I decided I was going to walk from our house to Ladner, a distance of maybe 5 miles? as I wanted to photograph all the things I saw from the car. It took me four hours. When I got to this barn I slowly entered the yard, the owner was nowhere to be seen, and I sat on a big rock, and soon I was approached by curious chickens, it was so much fun. The walk was scary as I had very little room to walk and there were ditches. Some cars honked at me. But I am glad I did it as so much has changed since then. The old lady died and her house was boarded up, and I'm hoping the chickens were adopted. Her home is heritage so cannot be knocked down, same for this barn. Many other homes along the route I took are also gone, and there is also a mall where there used to be farmland.
