I got to revisit one of my favourite streets in New Westminster on the weekend. It is River Drive and it overlooks the Fraser River, the train tracks, and Tree Island. There are some lovely old buildings along the tracks and lots of things to see and photograph.

We all trespassed on the weekend on an overpass that said "Authorized Vehicles Only" so we figured as photographers we're considered authorized. We were searching for a viewpoint of our local landfill because there are hundreds of eagles that congregate there plus seagulls and crows and starlings. I don't have a telephoto lens so I just stood back and watched from afar.

seen on a very rainy afternoon on the upper level of the Oakridge parking lot. I took this from a covered area and then I ran for the car. The rain was very splatty.
