A photo of the Glade Creek Grist Mill, located in Babcock State Park in West Virginia. Built in 1976, it serves as tribute to the hundreds of mills that once dotted the landscape in West Virginia.

Although it’s a relatively new mill, it is built with parts salvaged from much older mills that have ceased operation. The mill is set on a beautiful boulder-strewn mountain stream and is a real working mill.

The largest waterfall on the New River in West Virginia, spanning 1,500 feet across with a few islands that divide it up. There's a nice boardwalk here, so it's an easy walk from the parking lot to different points along the falls.
