Bosque del Apache, NM, at the Marsh Deck. Afternoon on 11-26-11 at 2:32:26pm.
A very short video but the highlight of the trip! Note that the Duck is still very much alive at this point. The Eagle was balancing on its left foot while holding the Duck with its right foot. The noise is from the wind--It was very windy. After falling, the Eagle flew to another snag that was farther away (so disappointing!) to continue its meal.

We had to say goodbye to Chile, our beloved 18-year old cat, on March 10, 2011. She was a very talkative cat with a great personality and was the sweetest most loving cat my wife Jean and I have ever known. We miss her very much but take comfort in the many years she was with us. She was about 17.5 years old when this video was taken.

This is the "Railroad Pond" located along Hwy 1, N of the entrance into the refuge.
