I was looking for a smaller digital, one I could take with me on trips, so I wouldn't have to lug the ol' 5D around on and off airplanes, in and out of hotel rooms, you get the idea.

Folks were talking up the Fuji x100t, so I went and got myself one. I was flush with cash after being in the medic union for a year, working on Agent Carter, a Keanu Reeves movie, bunch of other tv shows...2016 was me feeling myself, messing around with a whole bunch of new gear.

But it was also the beginning of summer, so when Jutta showed up, I was finding it way too hot to go play outside. Instead we shot in my apartment, out in the yard for a very brief time. I set up a big black seamless in my place, used that...but it was cheap, was the problem, you could see all the wrinkles and creases...it wasn't very seamless-looking. After a few minutes of failing to make those shots look good, I fell back on the old favorite, getting Really Close, turned out...not so bad!

Jutta was one of those subjects I wanted to shoot more of, but we could never get our schedules to work out, and then there were all the new people, next thing you know, it's been a year, two years, three years, and then a pandemic, and then kind of a pandemic and here we are and maybe I should hit her up...
