Yesterday @ the wetlands in the mid-afternoon sun, North Georgia. We had put up some big sticks for him on our last visit - and he was using this one yesterday and very friendly about me approaching him. Our biggest skimmer and one of my favorites to photograph in May or September.

Always nice to see females with eggs! They're such good mothers though that they're infuriating, as they constantly lean towards the lens, to protect their brood!!
