This nursery-web spider was scuttling over leaf litter at Chambers Farm Wood, Lincs.

Took a few shots - this had more of the spider in focus than the others... love its golden mohican!

Handheld, natural light.

No idea what this is, but thought it quite attractive. Spider is approx 4mm, 'nose to tail'. This is the underside; spider hangs from web and scuttles along underneath it.

Lurking on a fence post. I had to battle with my goats to get this shot - they kept trying to eat the camera.

Handheld, natural light.

Not looked for an ID for the spider yet. I took this whilst out on a walk with the children around Snipe Dales, Lincs. I was aiming for some new hazel leaves, but a spider got in the way ;-)

Handheld (above my head...), natural light, cropped a bit.

I was down near the bottom of the garden this afternoon when I spotted this spider partway through moulting. It's a shame I missed the early stages, but it was fascinating watching it slowly break free.

Part two and part three.

Possibly Nuctenea umbratica.

Handheld, natural light, cropped.
