The Fen Bank Greyhound Sanctuary, where Rebel came from, had its Christmas party this afternoon. It was great to see so many greyhounds gathered together :-)
I hadn't told my daughter that there was going to be a fancy dress competition, so she was a bit annoyed with me - and dressed him up in her hat.

I had a meeting today in Skegness, so took the opportunity to give Rebel a paddle after it finished. He wasn't at all sure at first about the strange wet things that kept rushing at him... but soon got the idea :-) Not a natural water dog, though, unlike Phoebe the Leo (who actively seeks out water to plunge into!).

Rebel seems happy to lie on his back in a sunny patch in the garden.
We were warned that he might be nervous of the washing machine, dishwasher, tv etc because he's never been in a house - but so far he hasn't been in the least bit phased by household activities. He's a thief, though! We're used to being able to leave anything lying around without Phoebe touching it, but Rebel is forcing us to keep things shut away or out of reach until we train him better...
