Saltmarsh Plume, Agdistis bennetii .
This distinctive plume moth was a highlight of the micros in the trap. It's a coastal saltmarsh species and I've only seen it once before in the garden (which is neither coastal nor saltmarsh!).

Reminds me of a ski jumper :-)
Head-on view is in previous post.
Larval food plant is sea lavender - but I don't have any of that in the garden, so popped the moth on ragwort where it nectared happily.

I have a few ragwort plants in my garden (away from any livestock) because they attract quite a few insects. This year, for the first time, I've found Cinnabar moth caterpillars on them, which I'm pleased about.
