7-spot ladybird on some type of dandelion. I have no idea yet how to distinguish between the various dandelions!

I was out with my daughter in the garden after work, mowing the grass, when I spotted this small ladybird. It's Adonis' ladybird (Hippodamia variegata), one I've found here before - but rarely. A nice one to find :-)

Look closely to see the intricate structures in the centre of a dandelion (looks very unpreposessing in thumbnail). I found this one as I was walking through Boston (Lincs) bus station - I expect the locals thought me rather odd to be on my knees taking a photo of a weed...
