This Rock Island switcher has some interesting trucks for this EMD Model SW1200. Delivered in September of 1965 the Rock Island called these SW’s road-switchers and had them delivered with 65 mph Flexicoil trucks instead of AAR type B’s. A pair of Kansas City Southern SW1500’s idle while the crews are at beans on this beautiful 10-23-1991 day in Kansas City. The 4337 was minted during August of 1968 and the 4338 was delivered in April of 1971. An almost 50 year old switcher still working for the KCS!
