This is a signed print from a painting by Maryland artist Harry Richardson of his old stone home in the snow. Harry has lived in this historic property for over forty years. Harry's painting studio is in the addition on the back of his home. In a separate building behind the house and not pictured here is a large gallery of Harry's paintings and prints.

" Winter In The Park " Image size 14 x 20 inches. Frederick art.
This is a signed print from a painting by Maryland artist Harry Richardson of the bell tower or carillon in Baker Park in Frederick, Maryland. The carillon was built in 1941 in honor of Joseph Dill Baker, who donated funds to the city for acquisition of a large section of land for the park about 1927.

The 70 foot tall Bell tower was built of granite blocks by the Blank family, well known in the Frederick area for their artistic stone masonry. There are 49 bronze bells ranging in size from 22 pounds up to a massive 3,400 pound bell. The bells are played mechanically with
fists on one keyboard and feet on the other keyboard.

The Frederick City Carillonneur for the past 14 years has been John Widmann. You may hear John and his students play the bells on Sundays at noon and during special events, such as the Kris Kringle Procession and the Candlelight Church Tour. Both events are in December.
