I took this photo of one of the giraffes at Taronga Zoo with the Sydney skyline as a background. The zoo is on the other side of Sydney Harbour from the city. I had no idea at the time that my photo made the Sydney Tower look like a crown on the top of the giraffe's head.

Giraffa camelopardalis

Giraffes are the world's tallest animals. Every giraffe has a unique coat that gets darker with age. They spend their day feeding on leaves using their dark blue tongue to reach high branches, and the blue colour provides protection against sunburn. Giraffes sleep standing up and can run as fast as 60km/hr. Giraffes are born to enjoy the view and Taronga's have the best view in Sydney.
