The walk NogBaad and I are doing along the River Thames/Thames Estuary took us underneath the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at the Dartford River Crossing! It's an interesting challenge trying to photograph it from below!

NogBaad and I have decided to walk the Thames Path and the Thames Estuary Path - not all at once, just in stages!

Today it was the section from RSPB Rainham Marshes to the Darford Crossing. At this time of year this section of the path seems to be a pretty bleak industrial landscape, but come spring and summer it will be teeming with wildlife - it's one of Essex's great wilderness places :-)

The Shard had its head in the clouds for most of today, but I managed one shot of it when it wasn't shrouded in cloud! And since it was such a dull and dreary day there was nothing for it but sepia or black and white! In the end I decided on sepia!
