Members of the South Woodham Ferrers Yacht Club rowing section returning to base after a row along the River Crouch!

The SWFYC rowing section has two large 27 foot long Spirit class rowing gigs. Their first gig was named Spirit of Endeavour by Kath Peyton MBE in the summer of 2014. Following a successful bid for Sport England Lottery grant they were able to buy another gig named Spirit of Adventure, and the Mayor of Chelmsford was welcomed on Saturday 10 January 2015 to perform the traditional naming ceremony.
